By adding anti-human Albumin antibodies to urine samples containing Albumin, an antibody antigen reaction is developed with the formation of insoluble complexes. The solution increases its measurable absorbance at 340 nm. The measure of this increase is directly proportional to the amount of Albumin present in the sample. The use of a calibration curve with known values allows to determine the concentration of albumin in the sample.
