Quantitative determination of IgG in human Serum and Plasma. Turbidimetric method.

Anti-human IgG antibodies, added to samples containing IgG (Antigen), bind by developing insoluble complexes, increasing the absorbance which is photometrically measurable at 578 nm. The increase is directly proportional to the amount of IgG present in the sample. The use of a calibration curve at known values makes it possible to determine the concentration of IgG in the unknown sample.
