Quantitative determination of Gamma GT in Serum or Plasma. Kinetic colorimetric method according to Szasz (IFCC).

Kinetic photometric test according to Szasz / Persijn. The test has also been standardized in according with IFCC (International Federation of Clinical Chemistry):

LgGT -Gamma-glutamyl-3-carboxy-4-nitranilide + Glycylglycine  (LgG) → Gamma-glutamyl-glycylglycine + 5-Amino-2-nitrobenzoate.

The rate of the 5-amino-2-nitrobenzoate formation, measured photometrically at 405 nm, is directly proportional to gGT activity in the sample.
